Nuo ihanat sitaatit Part II... In English!
Sormuksen ritareiden alkuperäiskielisen version selailua välitunneilla, ja näin mielenkiintoisia lauseita tarttui matikanvihkon takasivuille. Enjoy!
”It isn’t natural, and trouble will come of it!”
“That can’t be right. I need a change, or something.”
Gandalf looked curiously and closely at him.
“No, after all I believe your plan is probably the best.”
“Now, now, my dear hobbit!” said Gandalf. “All your long life se have been friends, and now you owe me something.”
Bilbo backed away to the wall, breathing hard, his hand clutching at his pocket.
“Gollum!” cried Frodo.
“I can’t believe that Gollum was connected with hobbits, however distantly”, said Frodo with some heat.
“My dear Frodo!” exclaimed Gandalf. “Hobbits really are amazing creatures, as I have said before.”
Sam fell on his knees, trembling. “Get up, Sam!” said Gandalf. “I have thought of something better than that.” XD
“But, of course, I have my price.”
He stood up, and seemed suddenly to grow taller. In his eyes gleamed a light, keen and commanding.
“We should never have done it without Strider”, said Frodo. “But we needed you. I did not know what to do without you.”
“What would they have done to me?” asked Frodo. “What were the Riders trying to do?”
“It’s warm!” said Sam. “Meaning your hand, Mr Frodo. It has felt so cold through the long nights.”
“I know what you have been doing, Sam”, said Frodo, taking his arm. “But you shall be merry tonight, and listen to your heart’s content.”
“I feel ready for anything.”
“You were less tender to me.”
“Of course, my dear Bilbo”, said Gandalf. “If you had really started this affair, you might be expected to finish it.”
“Rope!” he muttered. “No rope! And only last night you said to yourself: ‘Sam, what about a bit of rope? You’ll want it, if you haven’t got it’.”
“We must decide before we go further”, answered Gandalf.
“We cannot, of course, go on again tonight.”
“Follow my staff!”
“Steady! Steady!” cried Gandalf as Merry and Pippin pushed forward, glad to find a place where they could rest with at least more feeling of shelter than in the open passage. “Steady! You do not know what is inside yet. I will go first.”
He stood up and rubbed his eyes, and remained standing, peering into the dark, until he was relieved by Legolas.
“They are coming!” cried Legolas.
“The hobbit’s bite is deep! You have a good blade, Frodo son of Drogo!”
Aragorn picked up Frodo where he lay by the wall and made for the stair, pushing Merry and Pippin in front of him.
“Swords are no more use here.”
The Elves spoke together in soft voices, and questioned Legolas in their own tongue. “Very good”, said Haldir at last. “We will do this, though it is against our liking.”
“Come, bind our eyes, Haldir!”
“I will go first”, said Haldir. Let Frodo come next and with him Legolas. The others may follow as they wish.”
“If you want to know, I felt as if I hadn’t got anything on, and I didn’t like it.”
Take it off! Take it off! Fool, take it off!

Oi Jester, pelastajani!

Toi kuulosti aika kaksimieliseltä.“It’s warm!” said Sam. “Meaning your hand, Mr Frodo. It has felt so cold through the long nights.”
Never walk away from a fight thats worth fighting
Never hesitate when you know you're gonna act
Never waste your words on a fool you won't listen
Never sell your soul cause you'll never buy it...back

Jees, minulla menee taas vähän ylikierroksella teistä<3 ja vähän muusta.
